Subcontracted via Galiford Try/Morrisons, M-Tech Engineering Solutions Ltd installed commercial pipework, sanitaryware, rainwater harvesting system and plant room at the Lee Valley White Water Rafting Centre in Broxbourne, one of the venues for the London 2012 Olympics.
The work involved installation of a new boiler room, a new heating system, hot and cold water services and a new shower block and toilets.
This was a complex installation involving synchronising our systems with carbon energy which included solar panels, ground sourced heat system using the lake for energy, heat recovery system from the substation and a cooling system for the switch gear in the main electrical intake room. The facility incorporated three specialised pumps that were capable of pumping 15 cubic meters of water per minute to create the rapids.
